I hope you’re having an awesome day! 😀
Today I have a fun, different sort of review for you! As you all probably know by now, I LOVE mini dolls, mini pets, and miniatures in general. 😉
However, just to give you a little news blurb, Urban Princesses Episode 2 is still heavily in production…I can’t WAIT to share it with you guys, but it’s a hard project to work on because I’ve been traveling recently and I can’t take it with me like I can with some projects. The Groovy Scoop set is HUGE, and the sets have only gotten more complicated in this episode. 😛 BUT, hopefully it will all be worth the wait. 🙂 ❤
While you wait, let’s get started with the review! 🙂
Even when I was little, I almost liked my Kelly/Chelsea dolls better than my Barbie dolls themselves…I’m not entirely sure why, but they’re all just SO CUTE! 🙂 Someday I hope to show you all my entire Kelly/Chelsea collection, and recently I’ve had my eye on the Dreamtopia Rainbow Cove set that has a Chelsea in each color of the rainbow! 😀
But anyway…I don’t know if any of y’all of ever been in a Tuesday Morning store, but let me tell you…it is the BEST place for dolls! They get in slightly older dolls, and they’re usually at least 50% off of the normal retail price…sometimes more! I was in there a few weeks ago, rummaging through the shelves, and I spotted THIS little cutie for only $5!
Also, let me just say that I would have DIED if Barbie Spy Squad had come out when I was little. I mean, I sort of already did at age 16 😉 , but you know. 😉 Honestly, if you had asked me when I was anywhere between the ages of 5 and 12 what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have told you mermaid-fairy-princess-spy.
Here you can see the back of the packaging…they sure jammed a lot in there! I love the screenshots from the movie. Ken is so cute! 😉
Let’s get this sweetie out of the box! 🙂
Here she is with her plastic shell removed….and here is her super cool city scape backdrop!
Here she is out of the box…she has a lot of extra accessories!
Also, I think we need to name her! As y’all probably know, I LOVE vintage spy TV shows, so I searched my brain and thought about my favorite female spies…and I came up with the name Cinnamon! 🙂 Cinnamon is the main girl spy on the original 1966 Mission: Impossible TV show…and I think she’s the perfect namesake for our little spy. 🙂
Also, I may or may not have an obsession with cinnamon (as in the spice). 😉
Cinnamon comes with a lot of accessories plastic tied and rubber banded to her head…including a super cool pink microphone headset, a pair of translucent pink sunglasses, and a pink hair extension! 🙂
Here she is with her head accessories removed…she has slight box hair, but after a bit of brushing you can see that it’s very good quality hair, with a nice shape to it. 🙂
Before and after brushing:
Here’s her super sweet face…which unfortunately has a small dent from where the glasses were rubber-banded. 😦 Thankfully, however, it’s a LOT less noticeable in real life than it is in photos.
I love her face overall…she looks so sweet and genuine! You can see why I loved toting around Kelly/Chelsea dolls when I was little! 🙂 ❤
Here is the pink hair extension that comes in Cinnamon’s hair…I like it a lot, but personally I think it looks better higher up on her head than it comes in the box. 🙂
It looks cute on Grace, too! 🙂
Her final accessory is this adorable little tablet computer! I love it…it looks very spy-like! 🙂
AND, it looks great as a tablet with other dolls like Barbie, too! I LOVE accessories like this.
Here are all of her accessories…I have to say, you’re getting a lot for your money, and as we’ll see later, these accessories are quite versatile!
Here she is without any accessories…her outfit is super cute! It’s all plastic and none of it is removable (except her boots), and while that’s usually a pet peeve of mine, I don’t mind here. I don’t plan on redressing Cinnamon in a different outfit…I think she’ll always be a spy 😉 , so I think it’s a super cute outfit and it doesn’t bother me than it’s permanent.
It does have some glue-ish grunge on it that I think will come off pretty easily
The fold details are really nice!
Here are Cinnamon’s super neat black angular boots!
I also had fun trying on her accessories in various combinations…
….and found that her sunglasses are my favorite! 🙂
But here’s the best part….Cinnamon’s accessories look ADORABLE on all of my older Kelly dolls, too! 🙂
Here is Cinnamon with Jennifer, who is my other more recent Chelsea doll (from the Barbie: Rock n’ Royals movie, which is great, BTW) …and also my only other Chelsea with a molded top.
See…there’s an odd phenomenon with Kelly/Chelsea dolls that I think I’ve experienced since I was a wee lass…
…The more of them in the same picture, the cuter everything gets. 😉
See? Here are two…
….Here are three…. 😉
…And with six!
AHHHHHHHHH!!! So much adorablenessss! 🙂
However, my favorite thing to do with these girls is to pose them with my Made to Move Barbie, Grace…because she can sit cross-legged and kneel, she can get down to their level and interact with them so well!
Here’s Cinnamon showing off her spy gear to the other girls! 🙂
In conclusion, I LOVE Cinnamon! She’s so cute, and comes with several very versatile accessories! I’m so happy to add a doll from Barbie: Spy Squad to my collection, and a Chelsea at that!
Did you all ever watch Barbie movies growing up? I think my absolute favorites were the Princess and the Pauper, the Three Musketeers, Mariposa, and the Island Princess. Oh, and a Fashion Fairytale…mainly because of the song “Get Your Sparkle On.” 🙂
I think this little spy will really like it around here. 🙂 ❤
