Sorry it’s been so long! Things have been truly CRAZY! So, today I’m here to show you why things are so crazy 😉 , and what’s coming soon to Doll Dimensions! This totally would be a Fresh Friday Files, ‘cept it ain’t Friday….sooooo…. 😉
First up, I found this Barbie Enchanted Evening Outfit Set at my local thrift store for only $1.97! And it’s actually $40 on Amazon! 😀 It’s only missing one outfit, and that’s totally fine with me. 🙂
The 80’s is strong with that one on the far left. 😉
I’m thinking that the red and gold gown would be great for Mulan for a future Urban Princesses episode, too. 🙂
Next up….I found Maximus for $.99 at another thrift store! 😀
His hair is in pretty bad shape right now, but with some work I think he’ll be great for Urban Princesses. (Merida works at a horse ranch, remember? 😉 )
Next up, I found this Made to Move Barbie at the Walmart After-Christmas sales last month for only $5!!! 😀 I can’t wait to review her soon.
Next up, recently there was a 50% off sale on DC Super Hero Girls, and I immediately snagged the new Wonder Woman of Themyscira and the signature Supergirl to review!
Next up, I’d like to show you all why I’m so busy. 😉 As I mentioned in my last post, this is my 4-H season (BTW, the speeches went well, I think! 🙂 ) , and I have a ton of projects due next Wednesday!
One of the projects I’m doing is a display of all of the character designs I created for Urban Princesses…so you actually get a sneak peek of all of the other princesses’ outfits before they’re on the show officially! 😀
Next I’m adding a backboard with a cityscape and title, but I couldn’t wait to show you all. 😉
Next up, meet one of my other items for the fair, Bert the Pig. He’s my first ever needle-felted project (I mainly knit and crochet), and while he’s definitely not perfect, I’m pretty happy with him! 😀
And finally, the projects that are definitely the biggest time-consumer, my costumes! Every year I enter a couple of costumes in the fair, and this year I’m doing Jasmine and Rapunzel!
Here you can see my work-in-progress Jasmine (I still have to gather the pant cuffs and add a blue corset piece), and the work-in-progress bodice for Punzie. 🙂
Here are some other Rapunzel parts…the eyelets for the front, the ribbon-striped sleeves, a frying pan 😉 , and a whole lotta blond wig. 😛
Speaking of Rapunzel, I’m actually going to be wearing her to the fair for my 4-H fashion show in a few weeks, and I’ll also be wearing her to perform I See the Light on my flute…and I’m wondering…would you all be at all interested in seeing a Costume Vlog type-thing, sort of like a Follow-Me-Around, but I’d be Rapunzel walking around the fair?
Lemme know! 😀
Also, this week I took the plunge and started filming part of a DIY Costume and Makeup Tutorial, so stay tuned for that!
I can’t wait to actually show you guys some of this stuff finished….but for now, have a good day, week, lightyear, etc. 😉
