Let me begin by saying that yes, I do know “crazy” is two syllables, not three. 😉 It was for emphasis. 🙂
I’m super sorry for the blog silence…I don’t usually like to leave the blog unattended for this long, but it’s been an even more crazy week than usual here in the Doll Dimensions household…for different reasons than usual. However, I didn’t create this blog to be a place to vent, so I won’t go into detail at all, but let’s just say that people can unexpectedly become jerks and I’ve felt like punching some drywall more than several times this week. 😦
But! Back on the positive track! 🙂
I’m really excited to present another installment of Fresh Friday Files…I hope you all like these, because I enjoy showing you all what I’ve been working on and doing!
First up, I took a little doll hunting trip to Wal-Mart this week, and saw some really cool stuff! Sorry in advance for the blurry pictures…the aisles were super crowded and there wasn’t a ton of time to look at one thing!
They had the new Holiday Barbies, and I have to say, I love them, especially the one in dark blue.
I’m also adoring the “Career of the Year” Computer Programmer Barbie…partially because she sort of looks like the barbie version of Rosabella Beauty from Ever After High! Also, you can’t see it here, but on that shelf printed to the left of her head, there are tiny Frankie Stein, He-Man, and Barbie: Princess Power figures! The computer behind her also has stuff from Barbie: Rock n’ Royals (which, BTW, is an AWESOME movie!), as though that’s what she’s working on! 🙂
I also really like the new Puppy Adventure Barbies…although this girl looks like she’s had a bumpy ride. 😛
Aaaaand….The redhead and tan/blonde Made To Move Barbies are FINALLY starting to appear in stores!!! 😀
Also, the new Barbie: Dreamtopia Rainbow Cove Chelsea Rainbow Princess set is sooooooo cute!!!! 😀 I’m hoping to snag this set after Christmas, possibly. Here’s a fun fact, BTW…my amazing cousin who works at Mattel actually wrote the bios for these characters on the Barbie website! 🙂
I also saw this Disney Descendants Neon Lights Ball 4-Pack..which is pretty cool, since I *think* this is the first time Jay has been released outside of the Disney Store, and the second time Carlos has been released since the two-pack with Evie. I thought maybe I had seen Freddie by herself in this outfit, but I could be wrong. It’s also really cool to see Audrey, since I thought her outfit was pretty awesome in the Neon Lights Ball webisodes. I did notice, however, that her earrings and bracelet are recolored from Genie Chic Evie, and her shoes are recolored from Signature Jane. Yes, I do feel really smart that I know this. 😉
ALSO. I FOUND THIS. It’s a motorized Disney Princess carriage!!!! 😀 I was joking with my mom that the next time I work at a kids’ birthday party as Elsa (it’s something I do regularly 🙂 ), I should drive up in this. And just act like it’s how I normally travel. As Queen of Arendelle. 😉
But…it was $400. Sooooo, no. 😉
I got a new doll this week, but I can’t show you all yet. She relates to A Doll Dimensions Christmas Carol, and it would be a biiiiiiig spoiler if I showed you. 😉
Although, I can tell you that the story being published after A Doll Dimensions Christmas Carol, which is A Doll Dimensions New Year, will involve both this new doll AND this song/commercial.
I just discovered this Extra Gum commercial recently, and I adore both the commercial itself and the accompanying cover of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You.” I cry literally EVERY time that I watch it…and so did my mom when I showed it to her. 😉
I just found these pictures buried in the files on my computer…and I realized that I never showed you all! These are from when I took a road trip this summer to the Grand Canyon, and my mom took this photo while I was taking a photo of Clawdeen on the edge of the rim! 😀
This one is from when I was filming Clawdeen’s Travel Vlog. 🙂
This sign was funny for some reason. Clawdeen wasn’t scared at all, of course. 😉
Me filming Clawdeen again…. 😉
Finally, I’d like to give a HUGE shout-out to my lovely cousin, Aubrey. Aubrey and I went on a road trip earlier this fall, and Clawdeen came along. So did Frankie, Gigi, and Jane Boolittle. 😉 Suffice it to say that everyone involved laughed until we cried! 😉
At the moment, Aubrey is in the hospital post-surgery, so Clawdeen wanted to give her a special video message. Aubrey, if you’re reading this, I love ya and I hope you get better really soon!!!!! 🙂
Oh, and I thought it was really fun last week to show you guys a song I’ve been listening to a lot, so I thought we’d make it a regular installment! 🙂 I’m calling it….the Doll Dimensions Tune of the Week! I listen to a lot of music while I work on stuff for the blog, so I think it’ll be fun to share. 🙂
This week, I’m really enjoying the song “Up” by Disney’s Star Darlings. You guys already know how much I love the SD dolls, but their songs are always so uplifting (no pun intended 😉 ), too. This song especially really speaks to me right now…it’s super encouraging and inspires me to keep being the crazy, upbeat, Pinkie Pie-of-a-Person that I am! 🙂 I hope it’ll be just as encouraging to you, too. 🙂
Once again, I’m really sorry that everything is quiet here on the blog…it’ll change soon, I promise! I’ve got some super fun Christmas ideas in the works, as well as a post featuring my cosplays! Incidentally, this weekend Target had 90% off on a bunch of costume stuff…and I had fun. 😉 I mainly bought stuff that I can’t make myself, like swords and shields and such. I hope to show you all really soon!!! 😀
P.S. Oh, and I thought it would be fun, too, to start a Doll Dimensions Quote of the Week, so here ya go! 😀
Even if you’re having a bad week, just remember…Theodore thinks you’re great just the way you are. 🙂
(also, if you wanna see more doll chipmunk stuff, be sure to check out my Alvin and the Chipmunks doll cosplay! 🙂 )
