The Great Doll Blog Award

Thank you SO SO much to My Little Megara for nominating me for the Great Doll Blog Award! 😀 I’m honored!

In a nutshell, the rules of this award are to answer the questions put forth by the person who nominated you, then to nominate at least five more bloggers, leaving them five questions to answer!

Here are the lovely My Little Megara’s questions. 🙂

1. How long have you been blogging?

Since August of 2015, so nine months! 😀

2. What is your favorite post that you’ve written/ photographed?

Ooooooh, this is a toughie, although I have to say my Mission: IMDOLLSIBLE short story and photoshoot.  I have an extremely nerdy obsession with vintage spy television shows like the original Mission: Impossible, the Man From UNCLE, and Get Smart, so this post was a blast to write. The photos turned out to be some of my favorite that I’ve ever taken (one of them is my header), even though I didn’t expect them to turn out that way. 😉 I love these two photos in particular because they perfectly epitomize what I want my blog to be–a place where you can find ideas to expand the dimensions in which you collect dolls. A simple doll from Target or Walmart can become a spy, princess, superhero…whatever you want! 😀 (also, doesn’t Poppy look so rad in the photo below???) 😛

3. What is your favorite historical American Girl (if you have one)?
That’s easy…Felicity! 😀 I owned Felicity and Elizabeth for a long time, and only sold her recently to a very good friend of mine (she’s about 10 years old)  who was hunting for the original Felicity to add to her collection. It was totally the red hair that made me love Felicity! She was sort of a mini-me, since I have red hair and green eyes, too. I also loved Felicity’s character because my mom and I made several colonial dresses (mine had a print very similar to Felicity’s rose-print Meet Dress) and wore them to Colonial Williamsburg several times. It was so fun! We even went to a candle lit dance in the governor’s mansion. I hope some day to work as an interpreter in Williamsburg! I’m a total history nerd, and colonial history is my absolute favorite, along with the 1950’s.
4. If you could take pictures of your dolls anywhere, where would you go?
Hmmm….Maybe the interior of the Cinderella Castle at Disney World! 😀 I’ve heard it’s amazing, and I think it would be really fun to take some Disney girls there!
5. What do you see in your blog’s future?
I’m not totally sure…I’m still open to a ton of possibilities! 😀 My dream is to someday be sponsored by a company like Hasbro or Mattel. (and I’m now singing in my head “I’ve Got a Dream” from Tangled… 😉 ) I recently added an accompanying YouTube channel for my blog, and I’m really looking forward to expanding on it. So much of the time, my mom and I will have a conversation about dolls that ends with me rolling on the floor laughing, or I’ll be taking photos or a tutorial and thinking about how much easier it would be to explain something in a video rather than only pictures. I’m excited to see how video can be used to enhance my usual photo-only posts.
Whew! 😀 Sorry I got a bit long-winded there. 😉
Here are my five nominees:

(If anyone else whom I didn’t nominate wants to do it, feel free and consider yourself nominated!)

And here are my five questions (I took a few that I liked from My Little Megara 🙂 ):

  1. How long have you been blogging?
  2. What is your favorite doll that you own (can be any brand)?
  3. What doll do you hope to own some day?
  4. If you could have the outfit of any of your dolls, which would it be?
  5. What is your favorite post/video that you’ve ever written/photographed/filmed?

Thank you again so much to My Little Megara for nominating me! 🙂 ❤ I hope you all enjoyed my long-winded answers. 😉

  1. Thanks so much for nominating me! Felicity is my favorite historical doll too, I believe she was the first one I owned, so I’m especially fond of her. 🙂 And I loved your Mission: IMDOLLSIBLE post, the pictures are super cool!
