Gigi is Home

Hi, everyone!  😀

This past weekend, shortly before I did my Disney Doll Photoshoot, I found an ad on Craigslist, and as luck would have it, I was able to obtain (for only $5, might I add) the doll that I have been searching for since before I began blogging:

Signature Gigi.  Sure, I had Freaky Field Trip Gigi, and while she was very cute, she just wasn’t the Gigi I wanted.  Her hair, while adorable, was layered, so I couldn’t put it in a genie up-do, and she didn’t have the awesome harem pants ensemble of her predecessor.

But now, Gigi is home.

Here’s my long-awaited mother-daughter reunion photos. (because I can’t hear “Daughter of the Genie” without thinking of I Dream of Jeannie 😉 )

“We’re going to have so much fun together, mom!!!  We can go shopping together in Grace’s box of Barbie clothes, and we can eat pita chips and hummus, and then………”

I couldn’t be more thrilled with my little genie! 😀

(And in case you have never watched I Dream of Jeannie, you simply MUST!  It’s awesomely hilarious and adorable.)

And BTW, I also got Freak du Chic Frankie, Ghoul Sports Spectra (who, oddly, was wearing a Frankie fashion pack dress), and Music Festival Draculaura!

I’m still a one-doll per character collector, so my old versions of these characters will be finding new homes soon.  It’s just that I like to have a versatile version of each character, and my old Frankie (Freaky Fusion Inspired Ghouls), even after her lipstick repaint, had heavy yellow eyeshadow, which clashed with a lot of the outfits I wanted to pose her in.  My Haunt the Casbah Draculaura was adorable, but had gold accents in her hair and makeup which made her unable to wear a lot of the silver-y outfits I had planned.

In terms of my “written by the dolls” stuff, think of these new dolls as the same people, just with different makeup and hair.  Gigi just grew out her hair. 😉

FdC Frankie is GORGEOUS.  Seriously gorgeous.

I love Music Festival Draculaura, too!  And BTW, how cute is she in this sweater dress I made yesterday?!

Thanks for reading! 😉

XOXOXO,

Grace
