Hi, everyone!! It’s Holly O’Hair again…sorry I didn’t get this posted sooner today, but it’s been hectic! 🙂
Click here to see part one, if you missed it! 😀
“Dex, look at this!”
I had forgotten that although Barbie clothes and shoes don’t fit us, her accessories do! I found accessory packs that had purses and some jewelry.
We searched through them, and found about three different styles. Dexter chose one that had a tote bag, a necklace, some sunglasses, and a bracelet. We figured we could give the shoes to our Barbie-sized Disney Store friends.
When we got back home, Grace even helped Dexter paint some of the jewels on the necklace purple.
Upon our return, we discovered Clawdeen working furiously on a drawing. We had all decided on Thanksgiving to hold a special performance and live our dream of being Rockettes. 😀 The girls were all sitting around in a circle with Buddy and Jovie the elves, discussing everything.
“Good!” Ginger exclaimed. “You’re back!”
“We have an idea!” declared Robecca in her gorgeous British accent. “Buddy suggested making our performance a variety show! Like on the Christmas episodes of the vintage television shows Grace watches!”
My breath caught like it had so many other times during the past few days. I absolutely idolized vintage characters like Laura Petrie on the Dick Van Dyke Show, and vintage singers like the Andrews Sisters. The idea of a variety show was absolutely phenomenal!
“I think that’s an amazing idea!!!” Gigi proclaimed before I could say so. We all agreed. Clawdeen held up what she had been drawing. It was a sketch of a Rockette outfit…and it was spectacular! Luckily, more than several of us can sew, so it won’t be hard to make them all. We spent the rest of the day discussing our performance.
I have an idea for a part I could do in the show, but is it possible to make it work?
Check back soon for more developments of this Christmas story! 😀
