Christmas Show Preparations and a Surprise~part 1

Hey, everyone!  Holly here again. 🙂

In case you missed them, you can find my previous Christmas blogs here and here. 🙂

We had just decided to turn our Christmas performance into a variety show, and everyone was buzzing with their ideas.  Grace had helped us work on these adorable dancing outfits for our Rockette number (here’s a sneak peek, Elissabat agreed to model for me!), and everyone was also planning individual skits and songs.

As I said in my last post, I had a crazy idea, but I didn’t think it would actually come together–until this morning.

I was just wandering around the studio, looking for some ribbon to add to the dress I was making for Raven’s dance with Dexter when I heard this glorious male voice coming from the pantry in the kitchen (which is right outside the door from Grace’s studio).  I edged closer, being careful not to make a single sound.  I heard it again–it sounded like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Bublé, all rolled into one!  I wanted to freak out, run up, see who it was, and compliment the heck out of ’em, but I waited.  I listened closer.  The voice was singing “All I Want for Christmas is You” in clear and lovely tones.  I glanced frantically all around me to see if anyone was looking, but no one was.  I thought carefully, and used the process of elimination.  I knew that Dexter and Raven were rehearsing their dance in the studio, and Hunter was helping Robecca and Ghoulia with painting the backdrops for the show.  Who did that leave?  I didn’t know any other male dolls, except for Ken, who was on a date with Barbie at the moment.

Just then, the voice kept singing, but came closer.  I realized that whoever it was was coming closer.  I looked around in a panic, but there was nowhere to run to in time.  Suddenly, someone rounded the corner!

I couldn’t believe my eyes.
