DIY Doll Ring Tutorial!

Hey, everyone!!!

First off, I am absolutely blown away by the positive response to Ginger Ella!!! 🙂  Thanks so much for all of your support! 🙂  I’m currently working on a tutorial for the skirt (the bodice is the same as in my Cerise tutorial, just without the peplum), but for now, here’s how to make the ring! 🙂

This ring can be made for Ever After High dolls, Monster High dolls, Barbies, Disney Store dolls, you name it!

To make it, you’ll need some wire (I used 32-gauge, but almost anything will work), a seed bead or other bead of the size proportionate to your doll, and some scissors or nail clippers.  Needle nose pliers are not required, but helpful.  I removed my EAH doll’s hand for this to make it easier, but it isn’t completely necessary.

First, measure out about 5 cm of wire.

Fold the wire in half, and thread the bead onto it.

Place it on the doll’s hand, lining it up the way that you want.

The needle nose pliers can come in handy here, because you now need to twist the ends of the wire on the back of the hand (make sure not to scratch the doll).

And you’re done! 🙂  Here are some of my rings on Holly O’Hair and Disney Store Anna. 🙂

    1. Thanks so so much!!!! 😀 I hope to put a pattern for Anna’s shrug soon! 🙂 Your encouragement means so much to me. BTW, I really want to make the Barbie capelet and triangle granny shawl that you have on your blog! 🙂

      1. Hehe, thank you – I’m super glad you like the capelet and shawl! 😀 I’d love to see if you ended up making them. I just realized I’ve never crocheted my Barbies a shrug and I think I should remedy that. I especially like Holly’s ring…she’s my favorite Ever After High. 🙂
