Presenting: Ginger Ella!

Hello, doll lovers!

Today I have some photos for you of my latest creation–Ginger Ella!

I wanted to give Ginger a super whimsical, princess-y gown, because I feel like she doesn’t get all that much attention in the show.  She’s so sweet–I wanted to make her feel like royalty!  I gave her a gathered skirt to look like a cupcake paper, and her bodice is hand-beaded with “sprinkles”.   I finished off her look with a gumdrop ring and jeweled headband.

I modeled some of these photos after the 2015 live action Cinderella poster, where Ella is looking back at her shoe with her hair flowing in the wind, and looking gorgeous (and with her foot sticking out 😉 ).

Let me know if any of you would be interested in a tutorial for this dress!  Also, if you’d like to see more cool photos, reviews, and tutorials, please hit “follow” on the sidebar!  I’d be truly grateful-and so would Ginger! 🙂  Also, please keep in mind that I’m only human.  I’m happy to hear suggestions, but please be nice, and keep in mind that I’m a teenage seamstress trying to get a start.

  1. It need a shorter skirt because in this size it kinda looks like Ginger trying to attend a ball in a XXL flour sack. But the colour really suits her and the top of the dress is cute, the accessories are nice too. I assume the dress was made for a taller doll?

    1. Thanks! I thought the color looked good, kind of like an ice cream cone or cake. 🙂 As for the skirt, I wanted the style to look similar to Belle’s yellow dress from Beauty and the Beast, so that’s why it’s super long, and gathered at the bottom with a bit of a train. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

    1. Thank you so much! 🙂 I really appreciate it! I hopefully will post a how-to for the rings–they’re pretty easy! I agree–Ever After High rings are awesome! Ashlynn Ella’s bird ring is definitely my fave.

    1. Squeee!!! I’m so glad you like it….I’ve actually been a fan of your blog for a long time…I remember drooling over your designs when I first learned to crochet! 🙂

I’m hoping to post a tutorial for the ring soon, as well as the skirt. The bodice is about the same as I do in my Cerise gown tutorial. 🙂
